I am directed to request that you will be pleased to inform the Crown Agents that the Governor is prepared to receive a supply of Hong Kong subsidiary coinage, viz., 20,000 dollars, 50,000 ten cent, 20,000 five cent, and one one cent, and 2 mil.
The ten cent pieces being required in larger number, I shall be glad if orders be given for the coinage at the Royal Mint of another 100,000 of these, and they be sent out with as little delay as possible by the Overland route.
The Crown Agents will be supplied with funds to pay for them.
I have the honor to be, My Lord Duke, Your Lordship's Most Obedient Servant,
